Oswald Hafenrichter

Oswald Hafenrichter (1899 – 1973) was a Yugoslavian-born film editor began his career with a series of German films in the early 1930s and some Italian films in the mid-1940s.

He moved to England at the end of World War II and worked on some prestige British films of the time including An Ideal Husband in 1947. He also worked on classic films for Carol Reed,[1] The Fallen Idol in 1949 and The Third Man the following year, for which he received an Academy Award nomination.

Hafenrichter then alternated between Italy and England for the rest of his career, ending his career in the 1970s editing a series of Hammer horror films.
